Ugggggh. So, I was working on this last night and got most of her face fleshed out when I discovered I had misread my own handwriting and started this drawing a full inch higher on the paper than I intended to. So, the top of her hair isn't going to fit. I was very irritated with myself, too irritated to fix everything that's wrong with her mouth right now. I'll get to it soon.

Oh, I HATE when that happens!! ...Been there... Still--for what the opinion is worth--I think this works beautifully as a tight close-up: it's so totally Marilyn, with the eyes, nose and mouth--her hair could be left off completely, and it would still be amazing... I like those close-in portraits--very intimate--and it would certainly work here! And I don't see ANYthing wrong with that full, pouty mouth... This is amazing!

This is absolutely gorgeous. Her skin looks so smooth, and her lips so incerdibly glossy (I don't think that there's anything wrong with them, but I guess that the artist knows best). It would be great to see her with hair, but it's still beautiful as it is.

Oh, I *hate* fitting problems. I have done this kind of thing myself and it really pisses you off. But this portrait is going great, so don't worry. I love the highlights on her lips and nose. Good luck with finishing it! :)

Thank you! I'll try to forgive myself as I continue on. She won't have the tippy-top of her hair, but oh well.

treat this drawing as a portrait, not all portaits have to have the full face in ( im a photographer, so it doesnt really irrate me !! lol) , yes ok , it be hard to do the top of the hair with paper edges, but i wouldnt worry about, try completing it as best you can.

I know, I just was really looking forward to the curve of the wave on top of her hair. I'll get over it.
